FoBC intends to organize seminars and food fairs locally in the UK and in the other European Countries which will promote the Bangladeshi curry industry and create more jobs and improve the British economy. We also need to consider how the current skills and qualifications framework could be adapted to be more relevant and targeted to the sector- including apprenticeships, Group Training Associations to help SMEs provide training, looking at the role of Colleges and specialist centres, and National Skills Academy for Hospitality.
To achieve all these objectives and goals we urgently need to have training institutions to train our chefs, cooks, waiters & management staff to give better service to our valued customers and hence we appeal to the policy makers to help us to establish those institutions.
We also intends to enter in to a dialogue about our industry with the Olympics just a few years away, we need to get our industry on track to be able to welcome guests from all around the world and to enjoy a truly British, Bangladeshi welcome. This can be done by identifying business leaders and helping them to convey the message to each and every part of the community and the members. |
